Your privacy
We collect only what we need to teach, book and look after your family, we never store card details, and the Parent Hub is private to your family.
1. Who we are
Industry Dance Co. (“IDC”, “we”, “us”) runs dance studios in Tahmoor and Goulburn, NSW. This policy explains how we handle personal information through this website, the Parent Hub and our online bookings, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
2. What we collect
We only collect what we need for the thing you are doing:
- Enquiry form: your name, email, the studio you chose, your dancer's age if you give it, an optional phone number and your message.
- Careers form: your name, email, optional phone number, the role and studio you are interested in, and what you tell us about yourself.
- Adult class and workshop bookings: your name, email, phone number, the sessions you book, your health declaration and your payment status. Card details go directly to Stripe (see below).
- Parent Hub: the email address you sign in with. We match it to the family details already held in our enrolment system (Studio Pro) and the IDC Teachers App, such as your dancers' names and the classes and groups they are in.
- Uniform orders: the items you order, your pickup studio and your contact details.
- Push notifications: if you turn them on, a technical subscription address from your browser so we can send Parent Hub notices to your device.
Where information is about a child, we collect it from their parent or carer.
3. How we use it
- To reply to enquiries and expressions of interest. Enquiries are filed in our studio inbox so the right team can answer.
- To take and manage bookings, keep class rolls and send booking confirmations.
- To run the Parent Hub: showing your family the notices, key dates, to-dos and files for the classes and groups your dancers are in.
- To prepare uniform orders for pickup.
- To keep our studios safe (for example, health declarations for adult classes).
4. The Parent Hub
- Sign-in by email link. There is no password. When you ask to sign in, we email a one-time link to the address you entered. We only send a link to an email address that matches our family records, and we show the same message either way, so the page never reveals whether an email is on file.
- Only your family. After you sign in, you only see information for your own family and the classes and groups your dancers are in. The Parent Hub is private: it is not shown to search engines and none of it appears on our public pages.
- Staying signed in. We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. It is not used for advertising or tracking.
- Push notifications are optional. You can turn them off at any time in your browser or device settings.
- No third-party scripts. The Parent Hub does not load advertising, social media or third-party analytics scripts. We only count sign-ins so we know the Hub is being used.
5. Payments
Online payments are processed by Stripe. You enter your card details on Stripe's secure checkout, and we never see or store your card number. Stripe handles that information under its own privacy policy (stripe.com/au/privacy). We receive only what we need to confirm your booking, such as the amount paid and whether the payment succeeded.
6. Analytics and cookies
On our public pages we use privacy-friendly analytics that do not use cookies and do not identify you. They count things like page visits and which buttons are used (for example, “Enrol now”), so we can improve the site. TBC· analytics provider name Apart from the Parent Hub sign-in cookie above, we do not set cookies.
8. Storage and security
Information is stored with the providers above using encrypted connections, and access is limited to IDC staff who need it for their role. Sign-in links expire and are stored only in a scrambled (hashed) form. We keep information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires. TBC· how long we keep enquiries, bookings and health declarations
9. Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you or your dancer, or ask us to correct it, by emailing either studio below. We will respond within a reasonable time. You can also choose not to give us some information, but we may not be able to take a booking or answer an enquiry without it.
10. Questions and complaints
If you have a question or concern about privacy, please email us first and we will work with you to sort it out. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page. See also our booking terms.
